When there is so much to do and not enough time in the day, writing your book might become a lower priority on your checklist. If you do reach that point, you can give writing residencies a try. These programs are like writing boot camps, where you can focus solely on your book without all the distractions of everyday life. When you become a resident, you’ll get a dedicated workspace, usually in a peaceful and inspiring setting. You’ll also be surrounded by other writers, so you can bounce ideas off each other, get feedback, and learn from their experiences.
Residencies usually offer perks like access to libraries, research materials, workshops, and mentorship programs. And some even provide meals, accommodations, and money to help you cover your living expenses, so you can concentrate on your writing without worrying about anything else.
